The Path to What the Protesters Want Is So Undefined
There has been no articulation of how shall it be through a process where the authorities in Iran are confronted with a challenge to their rule so destabilizing that they back down. The question of the political succession of the country's supreme leader looms across all of this. I don't know if we end up with something that is outwardly more secular but is still very authoritarian that resembles something like Egypt under Cece. So I think it's very bound up also the path to what the protesters want is so undefined and what they're also willing to countenance.
