Building Blocks for Social Emotional Competence
Starting in toddlerhood is ripe with opportunity to begin working on emotional intelligence. As we move into preschool and beyond social skills and emotional competence are the next building blocks, but let's go back to emotion skills. We don't see the child asking themselves or labeling the emotion. These are the foundation to emotional competence and also to solid social skills.
