The Prophecy of the Kid's Mother

Do you think there was any point in this, even with that initial possession, that it was actually her mother? Maybe the first one. The kid stayed possessed for too long. And so, the prophecy has come true. It started to bleed out into the real world. So, she is seeing what she thinks is her mother. Who tells her that what happened to her wasn't suicide. She just was, I guess, she accidentally took too many pills.
