Is the Novel Superpower?

i'm working on a sequel to brooklyn, and i'm working on some short storiesn some poems. But the pandemic was good sometimes for work. Long days, you know, nothing to do, no book tours, nothing to moan about,. and thee, the silence you've always wanted, came to you. Your perfect est a novel is a lovely, lovely, grubby business where you can look not only into men's souls, as it were, but you can also look into their bodies. And so the novel fulfils an essential human thing, which is an immense curiosity that none of us really can mind our own business.
