Is Sufism a Form of Education?
Sufis are the bane of the formal thinker, because they will unhesitatingly break off a train of thought which could be channelled into a logical mode if they think it necessary. They annoy scholars by asse ting that sufi literature and supposed dogmas are operational, not simply material to be made logical sense of in a linear manner for every one at any time. I refer you to the mixture of assertion, demonstration, fact and practice which make up the visible portion of the sufi enterprise.
