Is There a Greater Meaning to What It Means to Be a Good Teacher?
I live with that confidence that i am a good teacher, until one day i have a kind of uncanny sense that i need to question what it means to be a good teacher. The idea would be to connect with reality somewhere, to find that frozen sea and find a way through it. First of all, to recognize that it exists. In my latest book, my argument is that the story of the golden calf has the irony of the story of revelation. Part of their mind is harking back to a traditional, familiar way of structuring the world that has to do with idolatry.
