The Cult of Personality and the Blood-Drinking Cabal
The claims in this case of the cult of personality, the charismatic leader, could be about paranormal powers. It could be about communication with advanced alien intelligences. The assumption is that the further you go in terms of your spiritual advancement, the more evidence for this might be that the aliens are talking to you or that you have some special magical abilities. And that to me is a major fallacy. Once you know that, you're just like, no thanks. I walk away.
