I view Bitcoin as an apolitical monetary network that sort of takes that power away from the US and doesn't give it to anybody else. The big hurdle, of course, is that the people who tend to gravitate toward positions of power are the kinds of people who aren't interested in creating that kind of equilibrium or safety. We've seen a lot of... The level of government surveillance of its own people that we've seen in our country is something that I just couldn't have imagined in the 80s or 90s. They're not going to give that up peacefully.
