The Boat Tailed Grakel, the largest member of the Blackbird family 16 inches long has wonderful violent reflections on head and neck. This Grakel is found in the South Atlantic and Gulf States from Chesapeake Bay to Florida and west to the eastern coast of Texas. The Bronze Grakel like the Purple Grakel has a purple head but has a bronze back without iridescent bars. It winters mainly from the Ohio Valley to southern Texas.
