A lot of attention goes to money governments give directly or indirectly through institutions like the World Bank. But those sums are dwarfed by how much private money is sloshing around on financial markets. In 2019, McKinsey did a study that showed that private wealth managers demanding their managing for pension funds and hospitals. That wealth managers with that amount of money claimed to have an interest in investing in Africa. So we have 11 trillion dollars that is sitting on the sideline and supposedly claims to be interested in Africa. You can imagine the amount of good that volume of money can do. Let's not imagine it.
