NATO Is Not Preparing an Attack
Reiner Rupp is working undercover for the East German Stasi, a close partner of the KGB. He receives an urgent message from a Stasi courier on November 9, 1983. The Soviet leadership stayed up anxiously waiting for signs that the Americans had launched an attack and were prepared to retaliate in a full-scale nuclear assault upon Western Europe and North America. As far as Reiner Rupp was concerned, it's just another day in the office.
