The Importance of Getting a Good Carpet

The shop had a counter running the length of the room, close to the door. The cashier hid something behind the counter when he looked at us. None of them said a word to each other, but they seemed to have communicated in some way. At this point, i wanted to get out of there. It was already dark, and i wasn't sure about the storekeepers. They looked rather creepy. I was going to tell my mam that we should leave and come back another time,. But she was already walking towards the elevator, following the guy attending us. An old man who came out of nowhere, tried to enter the elevator. He smelled like rotten fish and rum.
