When i'm dealing with heavy emotional issues, it's harder for me to take on more emotional burdens. When we're trying to plan out things in our calendar, we want to be cognizant of the fact that things are going to take longer than we think they are. We often don't know how long something is going to take, or in many cases, think we know, but are off by a factor of three or four. No amount of time prediction is going to accurately tell me how much time i'll need to finish that project.
