The most common challenge that we see in operating for necretizing soft tissue infections is deciding on what the extent of the debrisment should be. The simplest thing to do, once you've button hemostasis, is just to use bedidine soaked gauze as you'r dressing. Putting a vac on for 12 hours really doesn't make any sense in terms of timing up the second o r. Most patients need at least one more so a total of three o rs to get control of the wound.
