The Irony of Teaching

For years i taught at main stream american research universities. And the irony is that in most of those places, not all, but in most of them, the best researchers did the teaching,. and sometimes none, none. What a strange thing. I mean, it's really, when you sort of step back from what the university system has evolved into... It's doing that in an a bid to somehow prepare them for the rest of their life.
