The Negative Bias in Trauma Therapy

Our nervous system is wired to have a negativity bias. Like that's not really a surprise to anyone. So when our world is full of so many cues of danger on these large scale levels, your nervous system is just wired to focus on that stuff because that's how you're built. One thing that I try and practice doing that I've learned in some of my Buddhist studies from Tiknah Khan is look for the duality in your life. And there are people that love you all around you and your dog is still cute and adorable and there are, you know, there are helpers in the world.
