Introduction

This episode of the Mahabharata Podcast features Bhishma and his two brothers, Chitranga Dha and Vichitravirya. We left off with the death of their father Santanu when the two youngest sons were still children. Despite the fact that Bhishma was the eldest son, he had sworn an oath that Satyavati would be mother of the king so he placed his brother in line for the throne. After three years of fighting, the Gandharva king was victorious and the Bharattaking ChitRanga Dha was dead.
