The Role of Injection Therapy in Painful and Stiff Conditions
All our injections are ultrasound guided, and they're all intra-articular. In the early stages of it's painful tend to do a very long lengthy 20, 25 minute heavy massage procedure that also involves lots of mobilization. Then we go quite heavily into the physiotherapy and home program. And towards end range within the patient's tolerance, we teach the patient a series of home stretches, sort of trying to cater for stress relaxation. For many patients, it seems to be beneficial.
