The Differences in MAC Between Kids and Adults
The MAC is typically higher in kids and we don't fully know why. We use tremendous doses of propofol on a perkylo basis, they're thinking well that would probably kill my adult patients. So it's not unusual to give 5 milligrams per kilo to a small child or a healthy active teenager too.
