Are We Keeping Our Fiscal Laws in Order?

I'm very concerned about the day of reckoning and what risks we're laying for the economic well-being of future generations. It wouldn't be appropriate for me to comment too much on specific policy proposals or laws. This is probably an especially good time to focus on achieving our own mandate rather than doling out advice to others. But like my predecessors, I'll point out that our federal fiscal policy is not on a sustainable path and it really hasn't been for some time.
