The Gift of Free Will Is Uncaused

For free will to be meaningful, it has to carry effects of the decisions. And the creature chose to misuse the gift of free will given to him. By definit free will is uncaused. If the non christian doesn't like that, would he prefer a universe where god was not love? Because that's the only alternative.
