I feel like you can still see some of the lagos influence, especially in the facial expressions in the finished cartoon. I do think tat there is very little that has surpassed it as far as animation. It is so beautiful and so incredible. And i don't know, it's, without doubt, the most powerful dark image, from my perspective, that disney has ever produced in any form,. whether experiential or media. The film was inspired by films like snow white and this particular scene in fantasia were definitely what inspired my interest in the dark and the occult.
