Sally Kohn: It's very difficult to actually save your way to wealth nowadays. She says that after taxes and what really should be a healthy savings for most people, which is at least 20 percent of their pre-tax income, there's not a whole lot left over. If you start with zero and you were able to save 22 and a half percent of your income, she says, you will be able to retire in 20 years.
