A study suggests we vastly overestimate how awkward it is to have deep conversations with strangers. A group of researchers at the university of chicago performed 12 experiments involving more than 18 hundred people. In all cases, the participants felt more connected with their partner than they had expected. They believe this might have a lot to do with how we predict how we will be received by a stranger - especially when it comes to revealing something personal about ourselves.
