How Much Time Do You Spend Learning a Language?

I think it all depends on where you put the goal posts. Like, what is your goal with the language? And if you want to be fluent, like the mastery level, some would argue you never really get fluent in a case. If you want to really get very close, then that's a really big task. We have this tendency to talk about months and years when we should really be talking about minutes and hours.
