The Citizenship of a Capitalist Society

He is rejecting the idea that everyone being selfish in a capitalist system is going to lead to the best kind of outcome. He has a great table in the book with three columns very simple in which he conceptually moves from being the subject of whatever laws etc etc to being a consumer and then to being a citizen. I just think that it's such a helpful table because it very clearly denotes the progression of of self and of the view of the world but also makes it so simple to see the interconnection.
