The Utopian Consciousness of Crisis
There's almost a sort of messianic faith that you know in crisis acts happen so the Messiah comes through. I'm thinking well in Christ well in the moment of crisis thing was just as likely to happen are people doubling down on the basic structure or engaging in what we would consider reactionary and reprehensible behavior. So my worry here is that we need to start talking more aboutwhat would allow us to guide subjects in that moment of breakdown. And I don't think the like you're throwing books at people and telling them that you know they're guilty and they're racist and all that's going to do it.
