How to Be a Great Speaker

The opening of any presentation is that moment where you're most carefully being scrutinized by the audience. Steve Jobs was obsessive about this and several great speakers have been. The venue has a much bigger impact than people think, so make sure to get your sight lines right before you stand up. And then how do you manage an audience? A presentation is not generally a monologue. But without allowing that to get out of control and out of hand is a very interesting skill to be mastered.
