Fake news is basically a new term for a very, very old concept. No state appara s has ever really existed without the full force of a massive propaganda machine behind it. Even the first newspaper in the united states was shut down after its first issue by the government for fake news. A fakenews tradition to justify wars is an honored tradition that will never go away. The sweet embrace of death can be quite soothing.
