i think the historical context here is critical. If there's a technology that's invented that can ivest power in new factions and can alter the disbursement of power, the status cool authority will commender it. That'swhat the ruling class, by definition, does as try and preserve its status. And i think we've seen that even though these themes are often buried, these same themes asserting themselves in what appear to be discreet controversies,. but which actually are part of the same kind of ongoing arms race over who gets to control this information.
