The Rewriting of the History of the Post-Cold War Era

The Taliban now has proposed using former US military bases as special economic zones to bring in foreign investors. The twin victories of Trump and Brexit I think really posed this problem of a political conundrum right like the political form of democracy is somehow not holding it seems to have produced its own kind of grave diggers in a way. So maybe we shouldn't be looking within the space of the political and the sort of the ballot box and the breakdown of political parties and coalitions but we should look at how the globalization of capitalism has itself worked to present new political possibilities that might indeed be anti-democratic or work against what we would hope to be free and fair elections.
