"I expected something really crude to myself to come out on the other side," she says. "It created this kind of four foot large bust of me and it's very lifelike." Her face was scanned by a laser and turned into 3D image that computer could feed into robots. The robot is still too slow to replace mass production, but they are ideal for testing ideas before final production.
