How to Avoid Compression in the Recording Stage

Make sure that you compress the vocals in a way that works best for the vocals. Don't over compress and that means allow for more compression if needs be. Attack and release settings sometimes if the attack is too slow you can kind of tell by the way for me but we won't get into that don't look and decide by by your eyes.
