I've made the family in some sense public property because they're in books. My mum read the book about my dad and said that was okay with her. The book about her was really predating my sister and me. So there wasn't a consent issue with this book. Some people feel really strongly you've got to show it to everybody, kind of mentioned in the book and get written and consent and so on. But unless you're on some vengeful mission, you don't care what people think... I'm no score to settle. You want the people in the book or the people affected by the book to be okay with it.
