"What would a wall mean for an ancient israelite, especially one who had just barely survived the assyrian invasion?" Walls are what we surround ourselves with. They define the limits of our existence. And those walls are continually before christ. In verse 18, he says, lift up thine eyes round about and behold all these. Gather themselves together and come to thee as i live. "I look forward to that day as i work with your children on a daily basis."
