balloon pump is used to treat patients with thrombosis. The patient receives a fixed dose, unfractionated heper and ivy infusions going at 500 units an hour am,. kind of a fixed, low dose. And his a p t t is kind of ranged from about 35 to forty seconds over the past am. So in patients who are on balloon pumps, what anti coagulation is most appropriate is this kind of a low, fixed rate of heperand that's not really getting reptes therapeutic. Is that appropriate? Or should we be really kind of pushing for maybe a therapeutic a heperan infusion?
