The Spectrum of Conspiracy Theories

We all fall for certain sorts of irrational beliefs at some points in our lives. So how do you distinguish a conspiracy theories from just somebody whois not a particularly good reasoner? I think the idea of a spectrum is absolutely right. We must all be on the spectrum in this regard, because some people are better analyzing the reasons that support their conclusions than others. The obvious thing to say about these and this is something that actually, casanstein says in a recent book that people who aren't crazy can still think crazy things.
