How to Be a Substitute Teacher

I just subbed for kindergarten yesterday. When you are a sub, it just for me, it kind of puts everything into perspective. The kids are just invigorating. All they care about is whether you care about them really. I would be happy to stop writing and to be a substitute teacher full-time, but the job isn't sustainable. There's no healthcare, there's no benefits. Last year when I subbed almost the whole school year last year, I made less than $20,000 for the whole year. You know, like I can't sustain myself on that. So it's a wonderful job. It just needs to be treated a little better, I think
