The Transformation of the Caterpillar Into a Butterfly
We're looking for something like the transformation of the caterpillar into a butterfly. We're talkingabout conversion from that narcissism towards an orientation towards the other. This is the kind of transformation that we're talking about. It, of course, this is the very same goal that all the religions espouse as the goal. And very young children are charming because they represent what we've lost. They represent what we once were. Because even the best parenting in the world can't prevent the fall of man.
