The Different Expectations and Demands Placed on Female Friendships

Many male friendships tend to be activity based, you know, we're going to go do this thing. Whereas female friendships, there's the expectation of so much emotional energy invested into it. And men often get that from their female partner if they're in a straight relationship. But on the other hand, it also requires an absolute ton of emotional energy. So when I think about my husband, he will spend time with friends. He actually doesn't, I guess, spend as much time with friends as what I do.I put a lot more effort into regularly catching up with my friends, whereas he might only see them every three months or like maybe every six months and they will get together
