The Importance of Game Theory in Political Science
The book assumes that the typical student has had say a semester's worth of game theory and some understanding of differential and integral calculus. The idea is that students have learned some game theory they've learned some math and they can put that to use learning canonical and important new models of domestic politics so I think in practice the book is used in a lot of political science graduate programs as the text for a second course in formal theory where the first course is a course in game theory per se. It's also used in some economics departments as thetext for a course in political economy it's a term that means different things to different people but in economics essentially means the study of politics using the tools of economics
