Is It Easier to Do the Moral Thing When Your Life Is in Jeopardy?
In normal circumstances, usually, self protection and altruism are very, very overlapped. But i think also in these cases, you know, especially with wabe one in th vinnam war, these rebellions were not just motivated by altruism. They were motivated by some one's self rest and the desire not to get killed. Yet, that makes a lot of sense, that it's easier to want to do the moral thing, or whatever, when your life is also in jeopardy. What is the shiniest, most positive justification for the vie namor? Nothing’s coming to mind. I just think of it as senseless war that was abandoned.
