EVE Online - A Great Example of a Virtual Economy
Eve Online is a game that came out pretty much the same year as Second Life. It's an open sandbox world in which you could build pretty much anything from transport ships to capital ships. In many ways, they anticipated pretty much everything that we are now seeing in the Web3 space. They did it without the blockchain and they did it without any other Web3 paradigms.
