When i approach a scene, have a staging in mind. So i've defined for myself, what is the conflict here? O, what are the intentions of these characters? What is some physical action which will convey to the audience, even without a dialogue, what is going on? And you try to find things like that. But it's far preferable to me if the actors find that staging. Because if it's their own, if they feel they've connected to it, if it's coming through their bodies, through their consciousness, they're going to beconnected to impulses thereand enrich the scene in many more ways.
