I'm currently signed up on a private torrent tracker for books. I spent a day or two downloading as many books they didn't already have in their system from my library system and uploading them stripping the DRM doing all this stuff. What that particular torrent site has built is just like a shadow of what could be built if the legal structures were in place to just make this all possible. The only reason we don't have this is because it's illegal and it costs money to fight the legal system on this. There's been great libraries online.
