The Vulgic Cycle
The fragments were pasted into the bindings of four volumes from between 1494 and 1502 that are held in Bristol Central Library's Rare Books collection. The librarian who found them was looking through some Renaissance books for an MA class on book history. He looked in the binding of a 15th century book on French philosophy, opened it up and he saw that the manuscript that had been used to bind it was actually in French. It turns out that this Renaissance book had actually come from Durham to Bristol.
