What Makes Yong La So Interesting?

Yong la is known as the great usurper. He usurped the throne from his nephew to become emperor. His reign was one of the, i would argue, the greatest in all chinese history. Not only in terms of architecture, but hehe's much more well known for the ongla datia - a huge encyclopaedia. The famous voyages of jungha were sponsored by yungla. And so he also led several campaigns in the north against the mongols.
