Is HRT Right for You?
There are very few women who could never take HRT, but there are some women with certain conditions that we would be cautious about using it in general. The main concern are those who had a whole one sensitive cancer. And I think we have got much better at testing receptors for different types of cancer. So surgery for cancers in the past maybe didn't do as many tests as we do now. It would be very difficult to justify giving estrogen back to someone who's had treatment for a hormone sensitive cancer. If we are considering that, it would be exceptional circumstances.
