Anantasuria was a scholar who served as the chief minister in the kingdom of Bhagawan under King Naratayanka. While he sat in prison awaiting his death, he wrote the following poem: "If dictated by mercy and pity, I were to be released and freed from execution" It's a poem of loss and forgiveness about ultimately accepting the fate of all things to pass into darkness and dust.
