Sally Kohn: I knew that I wanted to be a doctor since I was a little kid. The more I learned about medicine, I really was just enthralled by being able to help people navigate sometimes the most difficult parts of their lives and then develop these long lasting relationships with patients and their families. She says she noticed men were getting offered leadership positions while women got opportunities for networking or collaborate on research. "I actually had people tell me that the work I was doing was a waste of time," Kohn said.
